About the awards

The Melton BID Business Awards returns for 2026 and will celebrate the outstanding achievements of local businesses across Melton Mowbray town and borough. Proudly hosted by Melton BID, this exciting event recognises the passion, innovation, and success within our local business community.

Nominations closed at midnight on Tuesday 30th of June are are currently being shortlisted into finalists. When the businesses have been shortlisted, we will list them on here. The winners will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony on Friday 18th September at the iconic Harboro Hotel, a stunning venue with over 200 years of history, beautifully blended with modern charm.

Leisure & Tourism Award

Recognises businesses that enhance the local tourism or leisure industry through outstanding services, experiences, or attractions. Ideal candidates attract visitors and contribute to local economic growth.

Best Local Food Producer

Rewards excellence in locally sourced or crafted food products. Eligible businesses focus on quality, sustainability, and supporting local supply chains.

Best New Business

Highlights promising new ventures launched within the past 12 months that have shown rapid growth, innovation, or community impact. Open to start-ups and new local enterprises.

Best Pub or Hospitality

Celebrates pubs, bars, or hospitality venues providing exceptional experiences, service, and ambience. Nominees often stand out for their community presence or unique offerings.

Best Restaurant

This award recognises the establishment that consistently goes above and beyond, delighting diners with outstanding cuisine and service that keeps tables full and guests smiling.

Celebrates the places that make staying in feel like a treat. Whether it's the perfectly crispy chips, the sauce that hits just right, or the team that always gets your order spot-on, nominees go above and beyond to make your day a little bit better.

Outstanding Customer Service Award

Awards businesses known for consistently excellent, responsive, and friendly customer service. Nominees demonstrate a clear commitment to customer satisfaction and care.

Professional Services Award

This category celebrates the office-based businesses that keep Melton Borough running behind the scenes. From accountants and solicitors to estate agents, mortgage brokers, financial advisers, and letting agents - these are the local experts you trust with the big stuff.

Sports & Exercise Award
